The PIPES Act of 2020 requires operators to minimize methane emissions. Large releases of methane due to pipeline blowdowns to atmosphere are preventable through flaring or cross compression. USDI has mobile equipment available to come to your site and safely compress or flare the gas. Our units measure the gas that is flared so you know the volume of methane prevented from entering the atmosphere. This results in compliance with the law and a benefit to our environment. GoVac FLEX Cross Compression Machine
We have the ability, using Onboard Dynamic’s GoVACtm FLEX system, to compress the gas from a segment of pipeline needing maintenance to downstream piping. We can capture over 100,000 cubic feet of methane and utilize the gas in an active pipeline. Including the carbon dioxide produced by fueling the GoVAC, projects can avoid introducing overr 100 tons of carbon dioxide equivalentto the atmosphere.
Mobile Flare Trailer
Using our mobile flare trailer, we can flare natural gas rather than releasing the methane directly to the atmosphere at any location. Our mobile flare trailer meters the gas allowing to capture the volume of gas that would have escaped to atmosphere.
